Ever since I left school, my weight increased gradually 1 kg a year and before I can wink my eye, I was size UK16. The steroids to suppress my rash made me balloon another 15 kg in 6 months. I was tipping the scales at 80kg. I aged really quick and was feeling miserable as my lovely clothes gather dust.
I've a serious weight problem. I've tried almost every means to lose weight, but none of them have lasted for more than three months. Many times, I planned to go on strict diet and ended up having a "see food" diet instead. I practically consume anything on the table and tend to over eat without knowing. I was depressed with my chubby appearance; I want to lose my weight desperately.
I was in my early thirties when I remember thinking for the first time, looking in the mirror, that I seemed to be a bit stockier now than I was when I was younger.
However, it didn't bother me at the time. When I turned 33, I noticed my upper body had taken on a pear shape, and I had grown quite substantial love handles. I weighed 96.6 kg.
Before the weight management project, I realized I was tired all the time. I was lethargic, and I often had migraine. When I was shopping, I had to buy larger and larger sizes, since my closet was full of clothes that no longer fitted me. With my personal weight watcher and silent motivator, Polar WM42, I have finally got my curves and my condition right. I am full of energy and the migraine doesn't bother me as often as before - what a relief!
I had been hoping to get the new Polar product - a calorie counter and a heart rate monitor in a wristwatch - as a Christmas present. Sadly, Santa didn't hear my wish. That's why I was really happy when I was selected for a test group to try out the Polar WM42 Weight Management Program.
