There are many costly and exhaustive laboratory test that offers very precise information on your anaerobic and aerobic threshold, but it is often designed for professional athletes rather than non competitive exercisers. The Conconi test is an affordable and easily available test to give you the much needed information.

1) Bike Conconi Test

Bike Conconi Test

Athletes will have to bring their own bicycles which will be fitted unto the bike trainer. Start on a perceived easy pace (HR 110-120) and the ride will be at an incremental pace. Heart rate will be recorded at every lap by the test conductors. The test will end once a constant speed could not be held.

2) Run Conconi Test

Run Conconi Test
Cover a distance of 2.4km on a treadmill. Speed of treadmill will be increased gradually and the heart rate and time are recorded. This gradual increase in speed will be maintained until the athlete is unable to maintain the pace.

Duration: 30min

3) Bike and Run Conconi Test
